marie antoinette.

the only thing i remember from the 2006 film marie antoinette were the costumes. they were absolutely cake-like. layers and layers of femininity with clever and promiscuous designs.

tirelli costumi, a costume house based in rome has been showcasing its design and impeccable tailoring through the silver screen since the 1960's. what would dangerous beauty (1998) or goya's ghosts (2006) be without the legacy of umberto tirelli? Grim.

for anyone who enjoys period pieces as vehemently as i do, take a moment to appreciate how brilliant hollywood is for making the efforts of tirelli, well...very worthwhile.
